Starting point

EWB aimed to modernize the working environment and achieve a sustainable cultural change in the sense of "New Work" within the company. Approach

With the Modern Workplace solution CoffeeNet 365, a proven collaboration platform with best-practice-spaces. The new Modern Workplace consists of digital spaces for work groups, projects, meetings, organizational areas and products.

Results

EWB was able to improve the collaboration culture with the help of the new collaboration platform and thus realize a significant step towards an agile workplace. Working and collaborating are more efficient today: Previously, everyone communicated primarily via email and documents existed in different versions that had to be consolidated. The Rhomberg Bau Group is an internationally operating family-owned construction company. The group of companies specializes in the areas of construction, resources as well as railroad technology.

Initial situation

The Rhomberg Bau Group was struggling with the challenge of a wide variety of systems for communication and document storage. As well as inefficient cross-company collaboration or the hidden and undivided knowledge of experts. Access to company information independent of location and time therefore proved to be increasingly critical for successful project execution.

Approach

With the introduction of the collaboration platform, named RHome, the interaction between process, people and technology was redefined. Ideas and approaches were repeatedly evaluated by the project participants and thus shaped the project mission as well as the implementation. Rhomberg was able to test the functionalities and the expected effects on the live system with employees during the implementation.

Results

RHome was accompanied by a digitalization of business and support processes. With the help of the new technology, processes in the construction projects were standardized. Whereas in the past each team pursued its own project, today there is an efficient group standard. On the digital work platform, employees can communicate with each other, collaborate and access and share knowledge - easily, quickly and independent of time and place.
